This Minecraft Dungeons 2 wiki guide is a starting point for finding an answer: choose a task below, then follow the focused guide or official reference. Minecraft Dungeons II and Minecraft Dungeons 2 name the same action RPG. LocatorBar is an independent guide site, not an official Minecraft website.

Start with the game you are playing
Dungeons II is the sequel to Minecraft Dungeons. It is also separate from Minecraft: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. That distinction matters when reading commands, mods, reward instructions and older Dungeons walkthroughs. The official game page explains the difference and lists Windows, Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
For example, someone searching for the Sift might want the Dungeons II dimension,
a future Java/Bedrock feature or a community mod. Our
Sift availability guide separates those questions before
sending you to an install or exploration claim. LocatorBar's
Java Locator Bar tools serve vanilla Minecraft; this index does not
present /waypoint commands as Dungeons II commands.
When a guide sends you to a store, check your device and region on that store page. Platform availability alone does not establish an entitlement to every edition, DLC or promotion.
Playing with friends: choose the right question
A party can contain up to four players. Mojang describes couch co-op, online crossplay and a mixture of local and remote players in its co-op explanation. These are related topics, but the checks you need depend on what your group wants to do.

Cross-progression guide
: check linked accounts, offline boundaries and purchases.
For a group with two people on one console and two on other devices, start with multiplayer, then crossplay. If you later change devices, move to the save checklist. That order avoids treating a connection problem as a missing save, or a missing cosmetic as proof that a hero failed to sync.
Before changing an account link, deleting a hero or buying a second edition, identify which of those tasks is actually failing. The guides retain the limits of the official explanations rather than promising a universal fix.
Gear and enchantments
Mojang's gameplay systems overview is the reference for how the sequel changes equipment. It describes 12 combat slots, armor split into helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots, passive bonuses from talismans, random item effects, and ranged ammunition that recharges. The enchanting section explains collecting books into a personal library and applying or upgrading enchantments at the enchantsmith.
Use that overview to understand a system before consulting a build table. For a specific piece of equipment, write down its displayed name, effects and your current game version. Those details make a comparison more useful than a weapon name alone. An upgrade recommendation also needs to explain which problem it solves: survival, damage, mobility or another goal.
We do not publish exact drop probabilities, damage formulas, upgrade-price tables or a best-build tier list on this page. Such claims need their own sources and version checks. A menu screenshot or a player's preferred build cannot establish a complete loot pool or an optimal loadout.
Capes: match the reward to its requirements
Use the cape eligibility guide before buying an edition, searching for a code or following a livestream promotion. It separates returning-player rewards, past preorder bonuses, Deluxe cosmetics and event rewards. It also explains why a cape promoted alongside Dungeons II may belong to Java and Bedrock instead.
If you already have an eligible reward but cannot see it, begin with the named cape, the game where you expect it, and the account used for the qualifying action. Keep redemption codes and account information private. A save-transfer guide answers a different question from a reward claim.
Dated updates worth checking
The October 1 official update says Dungeons II should be playable on Steam Deck, with issues including a missing on-screen keyboard still possible and full verification pending. It also raises the emerald cap from 9,999 to 99,999 across platforms, effective on the next login without a game update.
That is a dated announcement, not a promise that every Steam Deck feature works today. If you are checking a later patch, compare the announcement date with the version installed on your device. Report a repeatable problem through Minecraft's bug-reporting entry point with the platform and steps that led to it.
Use this index for the next step
For party planning, open multiplayer. For a missing promotional reward, open capes. For the dimension's relationship to vanilla Minecraft, open the Sift. If the task needs a specific boss strategy or item calculation, this index does not yet provide that answer; keep the game's own information and a clearly dated source alongside any community recommendation.
