Privacy Policy

What This Policy Covers

Locator Bar is a free collection of Minecraft Locator Bar tools and guides. The public tools do not require a visitor account, subscription, or payment. A separate sign-in area may be used by the site operator to administer the site; it is not part of the visitor product.

Data We Process

• Tool inputs. A Java Edition username is sent to our lookup endpoint and then to one of the profile services listed below so that it can be resolved to a UUID. A UUID you enter directly is processed in your browser. We do not write usernames, UUIDs, generated commands, or color results to an application database.
• Standard request data. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes information such as IP address, user agent, requested path, time, and security signals to deliver the site and prevent abuse. Because a username lookup is part of an API path, the username can appear in ordinary request logs even though the application does not save it as a user record.
• Analytics measurement. Google Analytics is enabled by default, using first-party analytics cookies and coarse feature events. You can turn analytics cookies off with the control below; limited cookieless page measurements may continue. Page URLs are stripped of query parameters and fragments before measurement. Events do not include usernames, UUIDs, generated commands, search text, or tool input.
• Your privacy choice. When you change the analytics setting, we store granted or denied in local storage. Default-on operation does not create a saved consent choice. Previously saved opt-outs remain effective.
• Heatmaps and session replays. Microsoft Clarity records clicks, scrolling, and page layout. Page text, images, tool inputs, and results are masked, and URL input values are redacted. Clarity follows the analytics setting; limited cookieless usage measurement may continue when cookies are off. Google and Microsoft advertising storage remains denied.
• Video playback. Video players are not loaded with the page. If you choose to play an embedded video, your browser connects to YouTube's privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) player. Google then receives normal network and playback data under its own terms.

Why We Process It

We use this data only to deliver requested pages and lookup results, protect the site from abuse, troubleshoot failures, understand aggregate page use and, while analytics is enabled, understand which features are useful. We do not sell personal information or build profiles from tool inputs.

Username Lookups and Service Providers

For a username lookup, our server tries Minecraft profile services operated by Mojang/Microsoft and, if those services are unavailable from our host, the PlayerDB profile API. Those providers receive the username and normal network request data under their own privacy terms. Cloudflare processes requests as our hosting and security provider. Google receives limited cookieless page measurements while analytics storage is denied and cookie-based analytics while analytics is enabled. YouTube receives a request only after you actively play a video.

Microsoft processes Clarity usage data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the site and its users.

Cookies, Analytics Consent, and Advertising

Analytics is enabled by default without a popup. This control turns Google Analytics and Clarity analytics cookies on or off. Turning it off removes accessible analytics cookies and stops detailed product events. Limited cookieless page measurements may continue. Existing explicit opt-outs are respected. Clearing site storage resets the setting to the default. If storage is unavailable, a change applies only to the current tab.

Enable analytics cookies

Locator Bar currently uses an AdSense account meta tag only to verify site ownership. The tag itself does not request ads or set advertising cookies. Public pages load third-party popunder, social bar, and responsive 728 × 90 desktop or 320 × 50 mobile banner ads from profitableratecpmnetwork.com and bauval.org. These providers receive normal network request data, such as IP address, browser information, and the site origin, and may use cookies or other identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Popunder ads may open another browser window or tab.

Third-party ads load independently of the analytics setting. The control above does not disable these ad providers or delete their cookies. You can manage third-party cookies and site data through your browser settings.

Retention and Security

Tool inputs are not retained in an application database. Hosting, security, and analytics providers retain the limited data they process according to their own settings and policies. We use encrypted connections and access controls, but no Internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal data, or object to its processing. Because the public product has no visitor accounts and does not save tool inputs to a user record, there may be little application data we can identify as yours. You may still contact us with a request, and you can withdraw optional analytics consent at any time.

Children

Locator Bar is a general-audience reference site and does not knowingly collect account information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information that we control, contact us so we can investigate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product or its providers change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes to data use or consent will be reflected here before the new processing begins.
